While I love my day job as a graphic designer, I also enjoy many forms of studio art in my spare time, including drawing, painting, photography, and pottery. Kingdom Cubed began as an idea for a brand around a series of animal figurines I sculpted between class projects. The animals all started as a simple cubes, and then features were added or carved in. I wanted the brand to be bright and fun, and wanted the logo to be able to stand alone as a symbol without any text.
After the logo was complete, I continued to build out the rest of the brand, including corporate identity guidelines, stationary, and packaging for small figurines sold as sets of three and for animal boxes sold individually.
